Title: Equivalence Tests

Notes
Description of TOST (Two One-Sided t-Tests) as a method of assessing equivalency, and a discussion of why the independent two-sample t-test method is inappropriate. The best write-up on this topic I've found is "Beyond the t-test" though is only freely available if you have subscribed to American Chemical Magazine. If you're serious about wanting to perform TOST studies, I recommend that you obtain a copy as it also deals with the thorny issue of sample size and "goalpost" determination. The US Food and Drug Administration also have a nice presentation on TOST via this link.
If you find useful resources on this topic, please email them to me (blog@keithbower.com) and I'll add the link from this page.
