Title: A Comment on Measurement System Analysis with Destructive Testing
Author: Keith M. Bower
Publication Source: International Society for Six Sigma Professionals, December 2004
Abstract
This article explores when the use of a nested design in a measurement system analysis with destructive testing may not be required.
Notes
Arguably, many analysts are taught to consider using a nested design when performing a measurement system analysis where the response variable results in "destruction." As indicated in the paper, this need not necessarily be the case provided enough "specimens" from a "part" may be provided to inspectors. This short paper is essentially an elaboration of a note made in Measurement System Analysis and Destructive Testing.
