Notes
This paper will be very useful for practitioners interested in interfacing statistical process control with engineering process control. I alluded to this somewhat in the final paragraph of the description on SPC I wrote for the ASQ's website. I don't believe this procedure will really take off until appropriate software is developed, though I consider the methodology extremely promising.
